"Dud" Perkins of Maggini & Perkins, San Francisco, California, sends us this photograph taken on the occasion of the San Francisco Motorcycle Club´s run to Mount Hamilton. 
"I was the only one, to make the Trip with sidecar. The Gentleman on the Tandem-Seat is Jack Osthoff, who weights 175 pounds. Miss Lacey, in the sidecar, tips the scales at 125 pounds. I am a 180-pounder, total 480 pounds. We made the entire Trip without a bit of trouble."

In April of 1913 Dudley obtained the first H-D Dealership, and on December 13, 1913, opened their doors as "Maggini and Perkins", later to buy out Maggini and establish the Dudley Perkins Co.
