In the Italian Grand Prix race which was hold at Monza, Italy, recently, the Harley-Davidson captured the first four places in the 1000 cc class.
Ruggeri, who took first place, rode a Harley-Davidson over the 400 kilometer course in 3 hrs. 50 min. 3 sec., making an average of more than 104 kilometers or 64.58 miles per hour.
Contarini took second place, Faraglia third and Winckler, fourth, all riding Harley-Davidsons.
The race was a struggle from beginnoing to end among the Harely-Davidson Riders. Although the leader changed, it was always a Harley-Davidson that led the field, and the fastest lap was made by Winckler, at an average of 74,5 miles per hour.
All the leading makes of American and European motorcycles were represented in the race.
