Aachen
Alexander Wisskirchen and his son Heinz of Aachen, Germany, believe in advertising their wares, so they use a Harley-Davidson to got from place to place with an advertisement on the rear of the sidecar calling attention to the make typewriters they sell. The story opposite will tell you with what sucess they've met.
Make Sucess Selling Typewriters by using Harley-Davidson
By using their Harley-Davidson sidecar outfit to get from place to place and to advertise their business, Alexander Wisskirchen and his son Heinz of Aachen, Germany, are making a big sucess selling the Stoewer line of typewriters for the firm of Johannes Gerlach in Köln. Mr. Wisskirchen usually drives the machine, while his son rides in the sidecar. Two or three typewriters are always taken along on trips and carried in the sidecar, while an advertisement of the Stoewer typewriters placed on the rear of the car attracts attention wherever they go.
"Aachen lies in the Hocheifel, an my Harley-Davidson has to meet the most exacting requirements," Mr. Wisskirchen says, "but even in the high Eifeler Hills and om very bad roads in the whole occupied territory, the outfit gives excellent service. I have already covered 14000 kilometers with my machine. I have never experienced any difficulty with it, and when I mount the outfit, I know that it will bring me back."
