The AMCA European Chapter International Meet 2009 Dinkelsbühl/Germany
Antique Motorcycle Club of America European Chapter
The Philosophy of the AMCA continues directly from that followed by the four successful business men who founded the club in 1954.
These men collected, preserved, and restored old motorcycles, thereby saving a segment of early Americana. These were family men who envisioned a club operated in such a manner as to include all family members at the clubs' events.
They felt that a great deal of wholesome fun and enjoyment would result from sharing their interests in old motorcycles.
Club memberships has always been opened to all enthusiasts and interested persons. No restrictions of any kind have been set as to race, creed, color, make of bike, nationality or country of residence.

Dinkelsbühl’s industrious craftsmen and flourishing trading activities enhanced its wealth, with the town’s fortifications and 16 towers providing protection from attack. St. George’s Minster, one of the most beautiful hall churches in Germany, was built at the intersection of the old trade routes.
Artists discovered the picturesque Books, crannies and alleyways of the old town in the last century and now visitors from all over the world flock to the medival town to get a taste of its vibrant ambiance.

Dinkelsbühl on the Romantic Road Bavaria/Germany
Towers on the City Wall Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria (Frankonia)
Dinkelsbühl is still enclosed within an intact city wall and looks much the way it did 300 years ago.
Dinkelsbühl not only survived the Thirty Years War, it also escaped destruction in World War II and has avoided modern developments.

Wörnitz Gate, Dinkelsbühl
The former Imperial Town of Dinkelsbühl, with its distinctive townscape, lies in the idyllic Wörnitz Valley. Dinkelsbühl’s perfectly preserved town walls and magnificent patrician houses, which include the "Hezelhof" and the "Deutsches Haus", are a reminder of Dinkelsbühl’s glorious era in the 15th and 16th century.

Dinkelsbühl on the Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse)
The Romans built a trading route, the Via Claudia Augusta, through Bavaria. Today the cultural riches and natural treasures of this region are connected by the Romatische Strasse, the most visited tourist route in Germany.
Established officially in 1950 to jumpstart tourism in Germany after the war, the route stretches 217 miles between Würzburg and Füssen.
Why Romantic? Because travelers find the road serene, idyllic and transporting. The combination of quaint medieval towns, castles large and small, and landscapes of rivers, lakes and dense forests offers something for everyone.
And the Highlight - Come and enjoy Dinkelsbühl
